Description
The 1985 debut album by what can definitely be considered a rock supergroup as it featured vocalist Paul Rodgers (Bad Company, Free, The Law), guitarist Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin, The Yardbirds), drummer Chris Slade (AC/DC, Uriah Heep, Asia) and legendary fretless bassist Tony Franklin (Blue Murder, Don Dokken, Whitesnake) - musicians who were mostly notable for work that they did in the 70's and who were looking to make a more contemporary musical statement.
The statement resonated hard with rock fans as the album charted three Billboard Top Rock Tracks singles, including the #1 smash "Radioactive" and was certified gold by the RIAA.
The group would go on to release a sophomore album before dissolving, but many fans consider the debut to be the superior album of the two.
